Elizabeth Lawson is a self-taught artist who loves bringing blank canvases to life. Her journey in the art world was sparked after watching Bob Ross paint landscapes on PBS when she was a young child. Elizabeth, affectionately known as “Liz” is the founder of Creative Shades, a Wilmington, NC based art studio. Liz was born in New York and raised in Riegelwood, NC. She proudly served 13 years in the U.S. Army National Guard, and worked for the Veterans Health Administration. Since the age of eight, Liz has picked up many brushes and challenged herself to make unique masterpieces. Liz enjoys painting family portraits, colorful landscapes, and participating in painting live at events.
