CAMPING RULES & INFO:
OVERNIGHT AND WEEKEND CAMPING…
There are multiple campsites on the property with open fire pits giving you the ability to grill your own food with wood or charcoal. These are listed on our map, be sure to camp at a spot that is not already reserved for a theme camp or for our group camping package. Firewood is available for purchase at a very reasonable rate by the Venue. No outside firewood allowed due to infestation of foreign species that can kill native plants and trees.
ARE OPEN FIRE PITS PERMITTED?…
If camping outside of the designated venue campsites, please use an above-ground fire pit to avoid damaging the grass. Please DO NOT BRING outside wood on the premises. There will be wood available on site for purchase. At designated campsites in the VIP camping area, there are fire pits with an iron grill to place food items.
GENERATORS…
Unless you are in RV camping, generators are not allowed at campsites or any area outside our planned theme camps. Generators used in RV camping must be turned off by 2am.
CAR CAMPING PASS VS. A REG. CAR PARKING PASS…
Car camping means you can camp next to or inside your car. You will have an additional 10×10 space to allow for you to place a tent or a pop-up awning next to your car. There are two spots where car camping takes place. One is inside what used to be a horse riding rink. Be sure to bring a pop-up for shade if you choose to camp here, as there aren’t many trees. To get the best spot, arrive when gates open Thursday. We do not guarantee shaded camping anywhere accept for our VIP reserved camping spaces.
A regular car parking pass grants you permission to park your car in the permitted festival parking areas. We have limited spots to park vehicles and we encourage carpooling so that you do not have to pay an extra fee for your car. We like to see more people, vs. cars.
DO YOU HAVE CABINS TO RENT?…
No, this is a camping and RV event only. However, we have partnered with Wild Tribe Co. a female-owned business that sets up Luxury Glamping Tents to enjoy with all the bells and whistles. Their pricing and options are on our ticketing page.
You can also search nearby Airbnbs in Warrenton or Rixeyville, Virginia. As we move closer to the festival we may have special hotel rates if you prefer to stay at a hotel nearby. Please check back regularly or subscribe to our newsletter below to receive information if/when special hotel rates become available.
CAN I PLAY LOUD MUSIC AT MY CAMPSITE?…
All loud music must be cut off by 2 am to respect our neighbors. At this time, no base is allowed and campsites must turn it down to “chill” vibes. There will be a designated “Base Bump’n” area so be sure if you’re planning to go to bed early, avoid camping where we will house our late night DJ sets in the “Base Bump’n’ area near the Lake for our late night dance’n crowd.
CAN I SELL THINGS AT MY CAMPSITE OR AROUND THE FESTIVAL?…
No, only registered Vendors and Artists have the ability to sell anything at the Festival. If you are caught selling items that are not on our list as a vendor, you may be asked to leave and donate your earnings to the event.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
WHAT IS THE BATHROOM SITUATION:
There are portable and in-house bathrooms that are gender and non-gendered. There is one hot (usually) water shower in each bathroom. The portable toilets are cleaned throughout the weekend, as well as the in-house bathrooms. We re-stock the bathrooms with soap and toilet paper, and the venue’s volunteers clean daily. We recommend bringing a roll of toilet paper and soap in case there are moments in-between changes. We also recommend, if you LOVE and MUST HAVE showers, bring a portable shower with you. You can get these at camping stores for $20-$40.
IS THERE WIFI?…
Yes, wifi is available around the main event spaces, however, it is best inside the conference center. PLEASE do not use our office as your personal office. Remember to bring a rechargeable battery for your electronics, and a headlamp to light your way in the dark where lighting is not as bright.
RESPECT PEOPLE’S SPACE…
At FlowJam, please remember to be respectful of everyone in the space who have gathered for an intentional purpose. We do not tolerate any disrespect toward anybody and if we have to tell you more than once, you may be asked to leave without a refund.
HOW MANY PEOPLE USUALLY ATTEND THIS EVENT?…
Over the past two years, we have been growing slowly to maintain our intimate family feel and to move through these ever-changing times with grace. We range between 300-500 attendees, and there are 15+ vendors selling their various types of art, products, services, and food. Be sure to bring a form of payment so that you can support our local artists. If you’re a vendor, for the most reliable internet we recommend having your own hot spot to ensure your sales process.
SWIMMING HOURS…
The pond will be open Friday-Sunday during the event at certain times listed on the schedule. The pond will be life-guarded during these times, and swimming is at your own risk. Please ensure you are with your children at all times while at the pond.
CAN I WALK AROUND NAKED?…
We’re not opposed to nudity, however, to allow all to feel comfortable we ask that you keep your clothes on during workshops and in public spaces. If you have the need to be topless or without clothing, please ensure you are at your campsite and those around you feel comfortable. This is a family-friendly event.
In 2023 we are bringing back Naked Creek, a treasure from our earlier years. This will be a space to be free and without fear of “offending” anyone. There will be signs marked. Use discretion at the Lake. Some of our lifeguards may be under 18.
