About Tara Eschenroeder

Tara Eschenroeder is the founder of Great Abiding Yoga — a 500-hour E-RYT, retreat leader, mentor, and writer whose work centers around helping others reconnect with instinct, intuition, and the wisdom of the natural world. Through yoga, meditation, movement, storytelling, and immersive experiences in nature, she creates spaces that invite people back into deeper relationship with themselves and the life unfolding around them.

Known for her intuitive and heart-centered approach, Tara's offerings are less about performance and more about remembrance — remembering how to listen inward, trust the body, honor emotion, and live in closer rhythm with the seasons, the earth, and one's own inner knowing. Her classes, retreats, workshops, and mentorship experiences often weave together embodiment practices, poetry, reflection, ritual, and time outdoors to support authentic connection and transformation.

With a background in psychology, education, trauma-informed practices, and over a decade of teaching experience, Tara has guided students across the country through experiences rooted in presence, belonging, and aliveness. Whether leading a retreat in the mountains, holding space in circle, or teaching beneath the trees, her work is an invitation to slow down, soften, and return to the instincts and intuition that have always lived within.
